Being part of the Open Education Network means joining a dynamic and supportive global community that helps you take your work further.
ICDE Open Education Network
The ICDE Open Education Network (OEN) is a member-led, international community where people come together to connect, collaborate, and grow through open education.
The network is about building meaningful relationships and creating spaces where members can share ideas, showcase their work, and find others to work with.

What is ‘Open’ Education?
We take a broad view of openness in education, one that looks different across regions and contexts.
Together we explore a wide range of technologies and themes, and these shared interests create fertile ground for exchange, experimentation, and co-creation.
Open educational resources (OER)
Open pedagogies and practices
Open technologies, including open AI and open source
Open data, research, and knowledge sharing
Open culture and innovation
How we work
The network evolves through the energy and contributions of its members. We share knowledge in open conversation, form connections that lead to collaboration, and co-create initiatives, discussions, and outputs — supporting one another in trying, learning, and growing along the way.
The result is an inclusive, generous, and participatory space where everyone is offered the chance to contribute.
Open to all ICDE members, the network is ICDE’s response to the UNESCO Dubai Declaration’s call for international collaboration, and reaffirms ICDE’s commitment to supporting the uptake of OER and advocating for various aspects of openness relevant to education.
