Task Force Co-Lead
ICDE institutional member Edith Cowan University (ECU) has been appointed Co-Lead of the Oceania Task Force. ECU strengthens the task force’s presence in Australia and works alongside the University of the South Pacific to advance inclusive, scalable and sustainable education across the region.

Task force actions in 2025 – 2026:
Interpretate the ICDE purpose statement, identify local challenges and create messages respectively from New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific region.
Recruit more members to engage in the Oceania Task Force and seek additional co-leads from New Zealand/Australia.
Solidify and condense findings to be presented and further elaborated at the ICDE World Conference in Wellington in November.
About the task force
The task force is co-led by the University of the South Pacific (USP) and Edith Cowan University (ECU).
USP serves a region of extraordinary physical, social and economic diversity, meeting its need for high-quality tertiary education, research and policy. Beyond being a tertiary institution, USP also serves as an organisation for regional cooperation and integration.
ECU brings a strong Australian perspective to the task force. Together, they combine regional reach with national expertise to guide the task force’s work across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
