Want to volunteer in the ICDE team?
The ICDE Secretariat is seeking a motivated volunteer who enjoys creating engaging content for social media. You will work closely with our Secretariat team in central Oslo and support our regular communication tasks.
What you’ll do
Social media publishing: prepare and post short updates (LinkedIn, Bluesky/Facebook), repurpose web content, track and follow up basic engagement
Member communications: help draft and send updates, answer member enquiries, and maintain friendly, timely follow-ups
Ad-hoc administrative tasks depending on capacity
What you bring to the role
Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Strong writing skills with a clear, concise style and attention to detail
A genuine interest in international collaborative work towards the United Nations sustainable development goals and member/community engagement
Reliable, structured, and service-minded; able to prioritise and keep deadlines
Skills in Microsoft Office and social media tools (we’ll train you on the rest)
Eligibility requirements
Resides in Norway with a valid residence permit for Norway (required)
Based in the Oslo area with regular in person collaboration at our central Oslo office (preferred)
Details
Engagement period: January – June 2026 with possibility for extension
Hours: Limited number of hours per week, agreed in advance (flexible scheduling)
Type: Volunteer role (unpaid). We provide onboarding, mentoring, and a reference upon successful completion
